I am interested in the thermo-mechanics of geological and geophysical processes, especially mountain building processes, and in the structures that form during these processes on all scales. My approach emphasizes computational methods and continuum mechanics to analytically and numerically study tectonic and geodynamic processes. I am using field observations and available geological and geophysical data to verify or falsify the physics-based tectonic and geodynamic models. I am also interested in applying my research to industrial problems.
